Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson

Edward VIII - Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David was born on June 23, 1894 and died on 28 May 1972. It was the second member of the House of Windsor to take the throne of the United Kingdom and remained a British monarch between 1936 and 11 December the same year. He was the eldest son of George V and Princess Mary of Teck
. Wallis, Duchess of Windsor - Bessie Wallis Warfield, the first marriage Spencer, after her second marriage – Simpson was born June 19, 1896 - Paris, 24 April 1986) was an American socialite, was the wife of Prince Edward Duke of Windsor
Since he'd been crowned King Edward expressed his intention to marry Mrs. Simpson once the divorce was declared. Previously, Wallis was his mistress. The idea provoked a storm of protest from the royal family, politicians and the Anglican Church. After seeing his suggestion to hold a wedding morganatic be rejected by Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin, Edward VIII took a drastic decision. On 10 December 1936, he announced his resignation, arguing that he would be unable to bear the weight of the crown without the support of the woman he loved. On June 3, 1937 Edward married Wallis Simpson in a private ceremony in France, which lacked the Royal Family. The relationship with the family remained tense with the refusal to recognize the new Duchess of Windsor. Edward’s has Nazi sympathy and the visit he made to Adolf Hitler in 1937 did not contribute to the improvement of relations with the family.
